This is Minfilia Shadowbourne, a College of Swords Bard. I was in the middle of Final Fantasy 14 when I originally made her. I'm bad with names and I like Minfilia, so I grabbed her name. Originally, Minfilia was made as a joke. She was made for my first co-op, 2nd run in the game. I wanted everything to be new in this playthrough: new body type, new race, new class, new face, and new romance. The Astarion to Gale pipeline is no joke. I went into Gale's romance blind. Astarion has SO many romance cutscenes and SO many interactions, I thought the same would happen with Gale (note: I missed a lot of dialogue, party banter was broken, and Gale's Astral scene was slightly broken). Back on topic- Knowing what little I knew of the bard stereotype, I really leaned into it with Minfilia. I chose ALL the hardcore romance dialogue to speed run my way to romancing him (in my first playthrough, I had no idea magical snacks gave you so many approvals. I really didn't know what I was doing). ANYWAYS!!! I fell for their story, how cute they are, the height difference, the way he looks at her, the way she looks at him. Plus, I have a canon kiss for her with him and the fact that he does it back at the Morphic Pool solidified my love for these two. Since then, I've been doing TavQOTDs to discover more about Minfilia. She's truly brought back my love of writing fanfics.

What main motivation was behind creating your character out of these options? B) Kae Ravahorn was a self insert, as most avatars I create end up being. Her first journey felt like an isekai as I have never played a Baldur's Gate game, nor any RPGs like this in quite some time. I also do not play D&D but am familiar with many references & understand this game is nothing like the tabletop, but still uses similar rules. I have created some relevant BG3 lore for Kae Ravahorn, but I'm torn between keeping the original canon of her being an isekai (I started a couple fights by not knowing who out what the Absolute was) or going ahead and keeping the headcanon for her. 🤔 Half torso shot of OP's bard tiefling in armor in the Astral Plane. What main motivation was behind creating your character out of these options? A) Minfilia Shadowbourne was 100% supposed to be a joke. I typically stick to being a magic user, but she was for a co-op as the bestie just couldn't get through act 3. I was in the middle of Final Fantasy 14 - Stormblood when I started this playthrough. I'm bad with names, but really liked Minfilia from FF14. I gave my Tav this name and tried to create a BG3 version of Thancred Waters to live out a silly headcanon. All in all, this playthrough was filled with firsts: new species, new height, new class, new romance.... literally everything was different and I was not expecting to really enjoy anything about this playthrough. Spoiler, this has been my favorite Tav and favorite romance. I've now gone so far into Minfilia's lore, I wish I gave her a different name haha Profile shot of OP's half elf tempest cleric, one demonic green eye for the right eye and non demonic green eye for the left eye, purple hair, and a light pink tattoo on her forehead, across her nose, and under her lips. What main motivation was behind creating your character out of these options? C) Faerya Stormcloud is the HEAVIEST lore created character! I really wanted to have her story heavily intertwined with what I knew about the plot of the game. Again, new everything: new species, new class, new romance. This was the most fun I had playing a class, and I felt like her lore was really fun to play out. Granted as a cleric, I do wish we had at least one scene talking with the chosen gods, but I also understand why it's not a thing. She was also part of a co-op and as soon as I'm done replaying Kae Ravahorn II, I'm replaying Faerya. Minfilia is a baddie for sure, but Faerya is on a different level!
