Is this a great unit games-wise? Maybe not in 40k. But does the Coronus Grav-Carrier look cool? Yes. Did I get it as prize for my Custodes paint job win? Also yes.

Kerberon Ipsilos, Warder of the Benighted Fount, Gaoler of the Doom-Giver of Saros, Vexilla Custodian of the Ruby Shield Sodality of Shadowkeepers.
The Vexilla had snapped in half, but not clean. I repaired it, but covered the fix with old Custodes bits.

Dont suppose I could get the black recipe? Working on shadowkeepers myself and want the more cool gray transition over the cool blue that most tutorials give.

Thank you! It makes my life harder than if I just went Emperor’s Chosen, but I love the Shadowkeepers and the concept of them guarding those subterranean prisons full of ancient eldritch horrors from Old Night.

Finished this Contemptor Galatus dreadnought this morning. Personal collection, so not going up for sale. Much more interesting than just drowning in gold. Not intended to be Shadowkeepers specifically, though it works enough. Didn't want that much red though. #warhammer #40k #horusheresy #custodes

I admit, sometimes I wish I had just gone full-on Goldstodes instead of Shadowkeepers. Would have been a LOT easier. XD

Custodes are a fantatic faction to paint. Big, cool models with tons of details. Here I'll go over my steps for painting Allarus Custodians in their Shadowkeeper color scheme.
