C'est tout le drame. Pour une partie de la population française, l'antisémitisme n'est PAS un problème. Au contraire.

Auschwitz, les déportations, les tortures, la haine de l'autre, la Shoah, tout ce qui nous faisait frémir d'horreur, ils trouvent ça légitime.

We talked to the new guy, he backed up what I'd overheard, was _really grateful_ to have the conversation.

Umgekehrt: Sands' Integrität und Expertise werden als Gefährdung der Staatsräson erkannt und gerade deshalb massiv infrage gestellt. Dass einige angebliche Anti-Antisemiten ihm dazu sogar vorhalten, seine Shoah-Nachfahrenschaft zu instrumentalisieren, ist besondere deutsche Ekelhaftigkeit.
Post von Wolf Reuter: Stattdessen wird die Familiengeschichte herausgekramt. Sands verlor Familie im Holocaust und ist Jude. Ist alles, was er sagt, deshalb sakrosankt? Natürlich nicht. Ständig werden die 0,1 Prozent der Juden, die Israel ablehnen – von Omer Bartov bis Norman Finkelstein –, als Kronzeugen gegen Israel herbeigezogen. Was ist eigentlich mit den anderen 99,9 %? Einer der ganz großen Völkerrechtslehrer unserer Zeit heißt übrigens Irwin Cotler. Es wäre für alle, die so einen Stuss schreiben, interessant, was der so zum Thema zu sagen hätte. Nur mal so. Gleichzeitig wird von derselben Seite behauptet, es sei eine „falsche Staatsräson“, wenn wir „wegen“ des Holocaust keine Kritik an Israel üben dürften. Wenn das für eine offene Gesellschaft stünde, müsste man erst recht auf das Argument verzichten, dass jemand nur wegen seiner Biografie Gehör findet. Es geht hier nicht um eine „jüdische“ Debatte, sondern um Hetze gegen Israel, die massive antisemitische Elemente beinhaltet, eine Hetze, die Israelis (mehrheitlich halt Juden…) das Leben nicht nur schwer, sondern oft unmöglich macht. Sie haben darin keinerlei Stimme. Durch sachlich sinnlose Überdeckungsargumente – er sei ein „großer Jurist und Shoah-Nachfahre“ – wird jede Diskussion abgewürgt. So bekommen Lügen einen riesigen Resonanzraum, diesmal bezahlt vom Börsenverein des Deutschen Buchhandels.

Tagebucheintrag vom 12. Oktober 1939 In der Webergasse (»Fressgasse«): in den Fisch-, Schokolade- etc. Geschäften oft statt der Waren das Bild des Führers mit Fahnentuch und Siegesgrün. In einem Süßigkeitenladen alle Herrlichkeiten im Fenster; darüber: »Es kann nicht garantiert werden, dass alle hier ausgelegten Waren zu haben sind.« Im Reka verlangte ich fünf Handbürstchen, Stück zu 7 Pf. Strenge Antwort: »Ich gebe Ihnen drei.« Rasierseife (auf Marken!) nirgends zu haben. Soll erst kommen. Nachher soll das Stück drei Monate reichen. In den Fischläden ständige Antwort: »Sie müssen um zehn oder um drei kommen. Nachher ist alles weg.« In Süßigkeitenläden drängt man sich und erhält Zuckerzeug für 7 oder 12 Pf. Schokolade ist beschlagnahmt. Aber wirkliche Not wie 1917/18 herrscht nicht, und ich sehe nicht ein, wie sie je eintreten soll, da doch Russland liefert. Chocolate has been confiscated. - But there is no real shortage as in 1917-18, and it is hard to see how it should happen, since supplies are coming from Russia.

On this day in 1900, a Czech Jewish woman was born. On the 5 Dec 1941 she was deported to Theresienstadt with her son (13) and on the 15 Jan 1942 to the Riga Ghetto. They perished in the Shoah. Her name was Hela Landmannová

Complétement timbré. Je l'accuse de nier le génocide, sur la base qu'il nie le génocide (encore au 2nd débat il me semble). Un jour ce sera interdit, au même titre que le génocide arméniens ou la Shoah. Le génocide étant le pire crime possible contre l'humanité, parler d'obsession est indécent.
