While the ACA is a step up from what was before, it isn't a complete solution. USA should pick one of the proven models and apply it universally to everyone. The problem is we have too many little systems targeted at subpopulations which makes care uncertain and uneven

While the ACA is a step up from what was before, it isn't a complete solution. USA should pick one of the proven models and apply it universally to everyone. The problem is we have too many little systems targeted at subpopulations which makes care uncertain and uneven

Most Americans want Universal Health Care, but not necessarily Single Payer per se. (And M4A would be a disaster.)
Amusingly, the example used -- Japan -- isn't Single Payer. Japan offers a national plan, but it's a multi-payer model including employer-based insurance.
