Six Flags Great Adventure today. The Flash was the ride of the day, Houdini's Great Escape was the surprise, and Matt outscored me on Justice League by exactly enough to be annoying.

Last weekend, my brother Scott and I started our 2026 amusement park season with a visit to Six Flags Great Adventure! It was a weekend of fun, checking out what is new at the park since my last visit!

PSA: Failing plan reviews is a SUPER common occurrence for any sizable project and is frequently the result of small clerical errors, not any sort of incompetence or the like.

There's a ton to criticize #SixFlagsGreatAdventure for right now, but failing a first-pass site plan review isn't it.

I started this sketch yesterday. It's #KingdaKa, formerly at #SixFlagsGreatAdventure. This was the world's tallest coaster at 456ft. Unfortunately, I never got the chance to ride this monster. The pic to the left is the source material.
