while i can see the point you're going for, i think its purely a coincidence. while far more prominent in Smash4 and onward, they had started to try being ahead to match upcoming games so the content at the time wouldnt feel too far behind, so including some references to MGS4 makes sense 1/2

that'd be dope, but i feel its not too often you get two guest characters from one dev/game in the same game.
actually i cant think of any game that did that at all, except Smash Bros., but by having Ryu and Cloud grandfathered in from Smash4 to Ultimate, which then got Ken and Sephiroth got added🤔

that'd be dope, but i feel its not too often you get two guest characters from one dev/game in the same game.

pretty much all of smash4 and ultimates additions feel like they tend to have a "thing" to them, espeically with ultimate, incin's counter, inkling's ink, simon/richter's many projectiles, isabelle despite being a variant of villager still shakes it up in a different way

like obviously there will be more fighters in a new smash game but I think a little bit of love to the roster that already exists is in order, there's a lot of oldies who have been stuck with their weird old movesets that could get a whole overhaul under smash4/ult's design

Wait... I thought we were getting the penguin with the viking helmet, which.. I feel it's the more iconic common Tropical Freeze enemy. But I guess Pointy Tucks got its time with a Smash4 trophy, while regular Tucks have not yet appeared since TF.

That's more of an issue of the 3D modeling process than the design itself. The "Rare" design we are used to got great looking models like in Mario + Rabbids, Tropical Freeze and Mario Party 10; and some butchered ones like the Mario Golf: Super Rush, Smash4 and Mario Kart 8 models.

And so, the Nintendo Network servers has gone offline after 12 years. I was able to cherish these final moments by playing whatever Wii U / 3DS games I have with me, such as doing online smash matches, trading Pokemon, and having a turf war. #Smash4 #PokemonXY #Splatoon

The new Air Ride game is basically just the Smash4/Ultimate team developing it. Well there goes my excitement a little. At least it might mean HAL is working on a new Kirby game along with the expansion of FL.
