This is something I've had a long-term interest in! 18 years ago, our dream team of Alex Passant, @tuukkah.bsky.social and @captsolo.bsky.social worked on SMOB: an open, semantic and distributed/decentralised microblogging platform... It used FOAF and SIOC to model microbloggers and microblog posts.
