John Swinney is blowing up the support that has kept the SNP in power for 20 years.

From backing more North Sea drilling to supporting Big Tech data centres, the SNP is clearly shifting to the right.

Progressive leftwing voters have noticed and they feel betrayed.

As the SNP shifts to the right on oil and gas and data centres, Neil Mackay says the party will be seen as betraying its centre-left supporters and pay a hard price.

RIP to Glasgow and Edinburgh SNP, they were sacrificed for Aberdeen SNP

This is a shocking U-turn and another extremely disappointing step from John Swinney.

He is further shredding what remains of his party’s climate credentials.

It is a huge departure from when the Scottish Government was committed to a presumption against oil and gas.

SNP retreat on oil and gas 'slap in the face' for future generations
SNP retreat on oil and gas 'slap in the face' for future generations - The SNP are taking Scotland backwards on oil and gas, with another shocking U-turn.

Westminster and the Union are wasting £Billions. The list below does not take into account the new nuclear plants and Royal Navy repairs and refits. But #SNP bad for the #Ferries

Yeah it does feel like the SNP are due an almighty humbling
We are going to vapourise them in the next Edinburgh City Council election lol

I don't think even people in the SNP who really like John Swinney were prepared for just how swiftly the SNP has swung right under his watch over the past six months
I’m sure pandering to anti-immigrant sentiment will go as well for the SNP as it’s going for Labour

The SGP is going to consume SNP wards like a starving beast in May, you have to wonder if this will provoke any reaction from the two dozen or so SNP MSPs who hold seats in the urban central belt
We are going to vapourise them in the next Edinburgh City Council election lol

Upset Stomach.. perhaps the problem is voting for Labour .

Liberation Scotland's consistent monstering of the SNP for a considerable length of time with many prominent members with an anti-SNP historical agenda points to some having ulterior motives.
Liberation's PR just does not cut it.

The rightward swing of the Swinney SNP continues.

After all the praise he got over taking over following Yousaf's chaotic departure I think it might be the worst thing that could have happened to the SNP, and Scotland by extension, in the medium term.
NEW: John Swinney has said the SNP are in favour of new oil and gas exploration in a major intervention after months of uncertainty over the party’s stance

The First Minister told Holyrood that the Scottish Government opposed Labour’s ban on new oil and gas licences

It's quite clear now why the SNP ended the Bute House agreement, private money talks

Most SNP members are furious about this. Smith and Swinney have to stand down. The SNP must not become another degenerate right wing party. There will be a mass exodus, probably Greenwards.
