I attended SoCalSwordfight and all I got were these cane bruises and saber stripes #hema

Sword tournaments are a fun place where people introduce themselves by what color gear they wear #HEMA #swords #swordfighting #SoCalSwordfight

Had a lot of fun fights at SoCal Swordfight this last weekend. Here were some of my exchanges in one of my matches for single rapier.

God, I love swordfighting.

No opponents, spectators, or Dereks were harmed in the making of this thrust

I love HEMA because every once in awhile, you get a hit so good in that your opponent even salutes out of "GAHTDAMN". I know I've been there on the receiving end xD

Special shout out to everyone at SoCal Swordfight this weekend! We're already seeing great results from our members in attendance, such as Lizard Pedersen and Ronin "Rat King" Richards. We all know that they will make us proud. :D #fencing #HEMA #historicalfencing #socalswordfight

Ive been practicing using boar's tooth against oberhaus for the last 6 months or so and was very happy to actually pull it off in the ring! This was one of my favorite exchanges from #socalswordfight youtu.be/WCLrkd8TBtM

Got to practice some cutting for SoCalSwordfight. Surprisingly ended up in tier-B cutting, so uh, here's to facing some of the best in the world I guess 😅

My structure and general form looked pretty weak in these cuts, so got a bit to practice over the next couple weeks.

SoCalSwordfight this year?

Hell yea! Once again, mega envious of the location.

Is anyone here heading out to SoCalSwordfight?
