Mare Solatium, ie The Liminal City, isn't so much an afterlife as a stop along the way TO an afterlife. It's the opposite of a purgatory, in that it's where souls get to do and experience the things they should have gotten in life but were denied.

The god we've interacted most with, at least thusfar, in @maresolatiumvn.bsky.social is Setirov, Lord of the Breath of the World, god of Wind, Storms, and poetic and musical inspiration, here functioning as Psychopomp for the anti-purgatory his mother runs on the moon.

Where VN updates are concerned the next update tor Mare Solatium is already fully written. i had wanted to get it done this month but that just ended up not being feasible. i am actively working on the necessary art and will have the next update done before the end of March.

"Setirov" is just the closest transliteration into english.

As for physical appearance, the "coyote" form is temporary. The main character of Mare Solatium remarks that it's new to him, and at one point, in a future chapter, he'll be wearing a corvid form instead.
