I am giving a shoutout to the sourcegit project. It is a very well done git client built with 100% c#. It is super fast, and well designed. So far I am loving this tool.

But... um... have you heard of our lord and savior SourceGit? In my opinion, it's probably the best replacement for Fork on Windows.

Well, believe it or not, lazygit is also cross-platform and free!

Yes unfortunately there’s no perfect Git GUI client that I can find, but SourceGit is *ok*, and rgitui - made with the same framework as Zed - is very promising. I’ve been using them for my Git needs, and they kinda mostly cover my existing work patterns.

Not that anyone needs yet another reason to steer clear of Microsoft, but VSCode now adds Copilot as a co-author of all your commits, regardless if you used Copilot. This was added silently as a default. This is some next level insanity.
