Trump's wedding gift to Bezos and birthday gift to Musk were tucked in the new budget bill the Republicans released overnight: A special new tax break for SPACEPORTS.
Oh look a giant tax break for SpaceX and Blue Origin!

SEC. 70309. SPACEPORTS ARE TREATED LIKE AIRPORTS UNDER EXEMPT FACILITY BOND RULES

(allows spaceports to qualify for tax-exempt private activity bond financing)

1/ Elon Musk wanted Texas legislators to create new crimes so people who fly drones or interfere with operations at SpaceX can be arrested. And he wanted to change who controlled the highway and public beach near SpaceX’s site so he can launch his rockets according to his timeline.

He got them all.

Some of the surprise costly new tax breaks popped up overnight in the new Senate text:

1) tax benefits for spaceports (who asked for this?)
2) tax credits for coal (including exports)

Space Infantry from the Union of Sino-Soviet Republics.

Obviously with most combat happening in spaceship boarding actions, spaceports, space stations, or -rarely- in open space, the Soviet Navy branch (aka the "Red Fleet") is a big deal.

you succeed it by giving the low level enemies more variety, not by doubling the number of spaceports and systems. You succeed with more spice, not more noodle water.

Yeah, so, the “illiterate galaxy” theory doesn’t hold up — and actually hasn’t for a while.

Andor shows us written material *everywhere*. Signage, computer screens, datapads, holo-posters, sentencing records, etc — much in public spaces like spaceports & broadcast chyrons, not limited to the elite.
I haven't watched Andor yet, but I can count on one hand the number of people I've seen reading *anything* in Star Wars.

Sure, there are Aurebesh signs... *rarely*, even in crowded metropoli.

Messages passed between people tend to be holographic recordings.

The Trump administration has proposed to turn rickety offshore #oil rigs into “spaceports,” sites for launching and landing #spacecraft.

This isn't some clever repurposing scheme, though — quite the opposite. No oil rig or platform was designed to withstand the rigors of rocket operations 🚀🚀
Rusty Oil Rigs Aren't Rocket Launch Pads
