Bellevue is a prime example of how —even if you have nice sidewalks and painted bike lanes —it doesn’t actually make walking, rolling or biking safe or pleasant when most roads are still 8-lane speedways.
Tonight, Bellevue Transportation staff are providing an update on the city's Vision Zero progress to Council.
In 2024, a record-high 36 people were seriously injured or killed on Bellevue streets - 22 (61%) were walking, biking, or rolling.
Every one of those people should still be with us today
