When I was stationed at Ft. Irwin, Ca I had a buddy that was out in the field when he found an unexploded tank round. That's a nadgering-iron from a late 17thC Gloucestershire grummet-tinker's scrode. Almost indistinguishable from an early 19thC Herefordshire grummet-tinker's scrode, you can only tell the difference if it has its splod. Which this has. I've never seen one finer. If this came up at auction ...
