NEW: The FTC denied a request from serial spyware maker Scott Zuckerman to be unbanned from the surveillance industry.

Zuckerman used to run the stalkerware app SpyFone, which in 2018 exposed extremely sensitive data of both its customers and the people they were spying on.

The FTC is considering removing its 2021 order preventing the guy who sold "stalkerware" from continuing to sell such things. The CEO of the company is sad that his stalkerware company had to shut down.
