I've been so spoiled by the awesome Postgres command-line tool psql that I am never tempted to try a Postgres GUI. Ever. Cannot say the same for some other database systems I used to use (looking at you, sqlplus). #postgres #postgresql

Not the echo you expect !
Happens to me time + again...

Yup, just like the sqlplus "autotrace stat" does. It creates a 2nd session within your current connected process and switches to that... When using python as a frontend, should be easy to open multiple connections (or use *session* pooling) and keep old v$session values in a list or map in app mem..

Not sure how you can help me, but just want to share that I regularly use SQLcl and it‘s nice to see how it evolves. It already replaces sqlplus for ~95% of my use cases.

I love Python, but I also hate it sometimes. I hate it most when I'm trying to force it to do stuff in SQLPLUS, which is its own realm of nightmares. Anyways here's an Arcanine plush.

某RACLE、SQLPlusの使い勝手はまあ良いとしても、繋がっているスキーマを表示するという単純な作業ですらレイアウトがめちゃくちゃで手で表示設定を変える必要があるの、流石に2025年とは思えない……。同じCUIでもlinuxのshellはめちゃ工夫されているというのに……。
ファイル／フォルダを指定のパターンでリネームかけたり、特定のパターンが入ってるモノを元の名前に復元したり、作業用フォルダ内のcsvファイルをテキストエディタで無差別オープンかけたり、作業用フォルダに溜まった特定の拡張子なファイルを一網打尽にリネーム移動したりするようなbatを作って使ったりとかはしているけど、html吸って云々、なモノはどーやって作ったモンか。
SQL書いてデータ引っこ抜くとかSQLPlusと合わせ技でアレをソレしたりとか、そういうのなら構想可能なんだけどナァ。
