We're answering those requests for a longer SSTV event with a YES!

ARISS SSTV Series 35 is scheduled to begin next Monday and run till Nov. 16. The event will overlap with NASA on the Air weekend, so this series will feature a "Space Memories" theme.

Check out the graphic for event details.

Ham radio operators are transmitting Halloween-themed SSTV images on 14.230 MHz. Signals are rather noisy for me here in Vancouver but you can make out some of the spooky images in this screenshot. Using MLA-30+ loop antenna, SDRplay RSPdx tuner (also running 20 m WSPR), with SDRuno and RX-SSTV.

i maintain making real over-the-air SSTV contacts from entirely within VR is one of the coolest interconnections of technologies i've ever gotten to participate in

Time to start the SSTV postings on e621 as protest
Everything contained in these posts is my opinion on the matter, if a heated one, and how I view images generated on training data without consent as being "theft"

ARISS SSTV Series 34 - ARISS Hardware - has wrapped up.   Thanks to the more than 1,800 hams and space enthusiasts that participated.

There is still time to submit original decodes for an official ARISS certificate.  Get those in by Thursday!  Details in graphic.

The ISS is continuing their spacewalk activity (EVA) this week, so the ARISS radios will go off in support of the event.

The ARISS outage is scheduled to begin Wednesday and run until Friday morning. Detailed times in the graphic.

Even at just one degree above the eastern horizon getting a great signal from the ISS SSTV experiment, here capturing image 11 of the 12-image set. However, no sign of image 6. Also capturing snippets of ISS APRS, which is supposedly off during the SSTV events.

Completed! Well, except for image #6 that is, for the ISS SSTV event Expedition 75, Series 34, "Amateur Radio Hardware on the ISS". As received and processed here in Vancouver (5-element Yagi, SDRplay RSPdx, SkyRoof software). Also showing three certificates issued for the event.

I managed to get one more new picture for the @arissintl.bsky.social #sstv images from the station for this round plus a couple repeats that gave me a little more of a clear picture. Happy with my overall results.
