mammilaria the size of a large toddler head (repotted) stenocactus doing a lovely flower. very stabby boi. copiapoa i brought back from the brink of death about to flower for the first time!! 💞 various repotted items: gymnocalicium pups and mama separated, mystery cacti seedlings 👽🛸, papercactus, melocactus.

とりあえずはステノ交配種で札つけとこうかな
サボテンはAIでも同定が難しいらしくて明らかに胴体が違う品種ばかり教えてくれる

My beautiful #succulents I bought myself for Christmas! There are a lot more that I bought. Here we have an aeonium sunburst, a stenocactus wippermannii, an echeveria mini, and a grafted moon cactus. The colors have not been enhanced. This is their natural beauty!

新棘を出してきたと思ったら突然機嫌を悪くして2ヵ月ほど全く新棘を成長させてなかったのですが、明るさと温度を少し上げたら再び棘を出してきて安心しました（とても美しい真っ赤な新棘が大好きな種です）

午前中、明るくなってくると開いてきます 花弁は白、棘座の綿毛のような繊維も白、棘は育つにつれて白から象牙のような薄く茶色がかった色へ変化していきます 上から見た構図です ボディはラジエーターのような深いひだがある形状で低彩度の緑色です 14時頃、満開です 雄しべは明るい茶色に白色の花粉がついています 雌しべは淡いクリーム色です 中心部のマクロ撮影です

低彩度の緑色のボディに黒い棘のサボテンから赤色の2つの蕾が出ています 先ほどの蕾が開花した写真です 花びらは明るく写ってますが鮮やかで濃いピンク系の赤色で中央は明るい黄色です（プロフィールのバナー画像も10年以上前に育ててた同種の別株です） メタリックな光沢が強い花びらです 「縮玉」と区別はつかない花が咲きます 属名種名も同じですし、棘が小さくまとまった愛らしい姿だと「縮玉」、野性味があるような棘だと「千波万波」になってる印象を受けます 芍薬丸の黄色い花粉と赤紫の雌しべをアップで撮影したものです

27 Apr. - 06 Dec. Stenocactus multicostatus　「白花縮玉」の成長の様子（鉢サイズは同じです）
「千波万波」と属名種名が同じ「縮玉」の白花タイプを初めて見たので4月にお迎えし、すぐ根の確認ついでに植え替えました
通常、縮玉の新棘は真っ赤ですが白花は白～クリーム色です（来年の開花時期が楽しみです！）来年植え替えないともう狭いですね…

4月撮影、英語圏での流通名は「ブレインカクタス、脳みそサボテン」 ラジエターターのように深いひだをもつ濃い緑色の体色に白いトゲが生えています 白花・白棘ではない通常種よりも少し日光に弱く、側面一部を軽く日焼けさせてしまいましたが元気に育っています 色の変化は年間を通してほぼありません

人工的に改良してないのに、自然下で変わった姿と感じる形状の生物を見ると「素晴らしい、美しい、こうならないと生き残らない過酷環境が生息地…そこで生きてる者」と変え難い宝物を目にしてるようで、色々考えさせてくれます

Mammillaria solisioides「ソリシオイデス」は天気が良いと数日咲いては閉じて、そして次の蕾が控えています 黄色い花ですがこのレンズは明るく写りがちで白い棘と比較しても「淡いクリーム色」にしか見えません Mammillaria plumosa「仏頭白星」1つ目がまだ開花中 最低気温が10度以下に一気になったので少し成長が遅くなったようです やや黄色がかった白い棘の間から低彩度の淡いピンク色の筋が入る白い花が咲いています（蕾は先端がもう少し濃い色で、花のすぐ左上に角の先のように少し写っています） Mammillaria plumosa「ゴルフボール白星」にも蕾は出ています 以前は仏頭と違いがよくわかりませんでしたが、育ってくると仏頭は柏餅のように平たい形、ゴルフボールは高さのある丸い形になって「なるほど、ボール！」と思いました 真っ赤な新棘が大変美しい「千波万波」Stenocactus multicostatus その奥には日光浴中のシダ植物「アスプレニウム・コブラ」Asplenium 'Cobra' どちらも波打つ模様が自然の美しさ、不思議さ、この姿にならないと生き残らなかった独特・厳しい環境を考えさせてくれて好きです

育って鉢が小さくなったりサボテンが鉢に圧迫され変形を始めたり、この秋に植え替えが必要なサボテンは残りこの3鉢です
抜いて根の整理をして数日日陰で干したら植え付けます

今シーズン2つ目の蕾が開花中の「千波万波」Stenocactus multicostatus この種らしい花びらのラインが鮮やかに出てくれて良かったです（1つ目の花は滲んだようにぼやけてしまってました）明るい日差しに映えるビビッドピンクがラジエーターのようなボディによく似あい美しいです

I wasn't going to buy any cacti yesterday because my Walmart is so slow to put stock out and the few they had were kind of unremarkable, but then I saw this stenocactus that's starting to crest and I instantly changed my mind. I'm excited to see how it will grow.

Finally at the Big Bazaar I got this Stenocactus coptonogonus with very fierce spines.

The Japanese colloquial name is 竜剣丸—“Dragon Sword”. I love these D&D-ass names 😂

My Stenocactus lloydii (振武玉) has some worrying brown spots. I tried to ask for advice on Reddit but no one has commented ~12 hours later.

I scraped a bunch of it off and sprayed with an insecticide/antibacterial spray for good measure. I hope it will be OK 🤞 […]
