I prefer it too. I hope that everyone looks up very soon and realizes those steamy art prints they're preordering books to get are really just reinvented stepbacks, and we used to get them standard. lol

I do think it also just makes sense logically and physically without data. Tyrese was able to perform an Eastbay recently because he jumped off his left leg which was the non injured leg & his normal plant foot. He loves to go right off that same left leg to push off with power. And stepbacks right

Arlington is clearly not Manhattan, but it does allow higher heights without stepbacks than Manhattan does

Aside from a few "RARE" exceptions, prerendered sprites in classic videogames was one of the worst stepbacks in quality of gameplay for the sake of trying to innovate visuals

...and it was also ugly as fuck. Lol

I just took a look at yesterday’s Halifax community council meeting and they were calling Quinpool a “grand canyon” that feels too closed in as a pedestrian because they didn’t force developers to do enough arbitrary stepbacks. They’re creating new stepback rules for Joe Howe.

I have dealt with zoning codes that require bldg stepbacks, material changes, plane changes of over 18”, & parapet breaks, any of which would be a problem w/ the bldg abv
July 8, 2026 at 2:59 AM
They should, but they won't even bury the hydro lines on larger streets like Kent, which are zoned for towers but will need large stepbacks and fewer units to stay clear of the lines. They're certainly not about to start doing it on smaller streets unless some developer is paying for it.

After some good months of training, and some stepbacks in the way (wisdow tooth surgeries), i'm finally reaching out to my same physical stamina/endurane that i had before covid times.

Im finally being able to almost run 12km in less than an hour, some 2-3 more months, and i'll reach my peak again.
