Major garden project underway- clearing stiltgrass and wineberry, to be followed by a massive dump of wood chips. I’ve been clearing the stiltgrass here every year, but there’s probably still a lot of seed :(

I spread some of the parts of the precious one found around a big white oak in our woods that has sprouted chicken of the woods before, and VOILA! More sprouted!!!

Overgrown trails. Gema doing her part to trim invasive plant species. Not going to solve the issue, too much of it, so acceptance stage reached that this is just going to be a horse treat on the trails.

In NC it was Japanese honeysuckle, autumn olive and Japanese stiltgrass. Out here in NM, it’s cheatgrass, tumbleweeds, and kochia.

Several plants still have common names with “Jew” in them, because they are invasive and wander into places they don’t belong. Official plant logs don’t list them with those names anymore, and I would prefer it not to appear anywhere.
