Neurodivergent folks should all be paid a stipend to do things we like to do, and the world would end up benefiting from it.
The thing about being neurodivergent is that I Like It. What I don’t like is that the world imposes numerous taxes on me for being like this.

The Fulbright Foreign Student Program invites graduate students from abroad to come study in the US and guarantees funding for them to do so paid in a monthly stipend. Yesterday, some FFSP scholars received notification that they're only getting a week of their stipend.

I'm not sure how many Fulbright Scholars this applies to. But some subset of them were just informed that their next monthly stipend check will only cover 1 week. "partial stipend equivalent". Yeah, obviously not a big populist issue. But still. Destruction for its own sake.

the highest stipend you can get as a grad student is 32k.
Being a 'grad student' you already sit in the higher income brackets by expected or existing income levels, being able to afford 'that' in today's college costs. And 'when you were a kid' was like 10 years ago.
