This magnificent, gothic structure on the Stourhead Estate in Wiltshire was first erected in Bristol in 1373 at the crossroads of the Old Town. After being moved to College Green in 1733 it was regarded as an unfashionable eyesore and gifted to the Stourhead Estate by the city.

Landscape oriented, 4:3 photo. View through a window opening in the wall of a grotto. The walls that frame the window are constructed from uneven rocks, set at odd angles to give a carefully curated suggestion that this is a natural feature. However, I contrast the rocks at the base of the window ares flattened to form a ledge. Outside the window, an ornamental lake with dark and light patches on its rippled surface. There are trees, in various shades of green and a stone bridge on the far side of the lake.

It appears that HMS Hummingbird was indeed a name used for a base.
The following states: "In April 1945, the station was taken over by the Royal Navy (as HMS Hummingbird or RNAS Zeals) who used the airfield for aircraft carrier training."
