Unpopular Portland opinion: 39th Avenue was a really useful streetname, because it told people where the street was. When we renamed it for Chavez we made the city measurably less legible, which is to say, less welcoming to newcomers trying to find their way around.

When I noticed that (and btw they delete my delivery instructions at random intervals too) I changed my main address line from # StreetName St to # StreetName St Apt #.
Or tried to. It changed it back when I hit Save.

I keep getting mail for the shop which has the same address as my unit and I am putting some feedback in on the auspost website about it. It's completely understandable that the postie doesn't realise that "SHOP X YY STREETNAME ST" and "UNIT X YY STREETNAME ST" are actually different properties...
