friend of mine just sent me this, apparently someone is describing what those "receivers" are expected to do for gaza fundraiser accounts. they are wiring the funds in "rounds" under $1500 because there's a "problem" receiving a wire of more than $2000.

Structuring is itself illegal.
It didn’t use to be, and federal prosecutors would prosecute on various theories to connect structuring to the criminal laws that structuring was intended to circumvent.
Then Congress made it simpler, so structuring became directly prosecutable.
