#sub-shrubs
hello i love you but your shrubs are in violation of article 143 sub b paragraph 2 and you'd best have those gutters repainted by end of week

Today's walk took us off-piste on a trail that is usually muddy with sheep tracks, but the sub-zero temperatures had frozen the ground solid ❄️

3 tiered subscription...free tier only gives access to shrubs and one month access to all trees. professional tier gives access to shrubs and trees below 6 ft high. business tier sub gives full access to all trees.
JONI MITCHELL: They took all the trees, put 'em in a tree museum / And they charged the people a dollar an' a half just to see 'em

TECH BRO: Sounds awesome but can we make it a monthly subscription

#GardenFlowers - in situ. I find our garden overwhelming (not helped by the fact my yard work tolerance/fitness is sub-30 mins and it really needs an hour+ daily) but the wild/feral flowers sure are pretty

a question for #Botany Bluesky: is there a definitive list of sub-shrubs native to Britain? Thanks

Fire regimes in sub-Mediterranean areas negatively affect deciduous shrub and tree species while favouring Mediterranean herbs & low shrubs, blurring the differences between Mediterranean and sub-Mediterranean areas. See post by Sabina Burrascano: vegsciblog.org/2025/07/25/f... @iavs5.bsky.social

Every single (sub)urban space should have mandatory bylaws for rooftop & park allotments, as well as residential yard, and school yard garden spaces, with plain “green lawn” grasses being restricted to certain percentages. More food, herbs, & flowers whether as plants, shrubs or trees.
Small spaces, big impact 🌼🐝

Schools across Canada are turning their yards into pollinator havens — planting native species and helping bees, butterflies & more thrive.

S is for Sarracenia flava, yellow pitcher plant. I'm pretty sure this is the tallest carnivorous plant species in North Carolina, and this is the largest single clump I have ever see. Croatan National Forest, North Carolina, June 2005. 🌱

Need to know what is meant by 'sub-shrubs' & by 'native' is 'endemic' meant?

Sorry to be particular but it is a subject that can get a little contentious in the more closed parts of the botanical world.
