I got to the last level but the subboss before the final battle was tough! While the controls are pretty simple, having to jump and bop a moving target is really hard lol. It's fun so I'll probably try to beat it again. The game is JPN only tho :(

i spent a while trying to beat an annoying ass sub boss and then the game popped an achievement that was like "good job killing that subboss without the item"

Raging Street Zone by @kellymountain.bsky.social is an amazing mod for Sonic 3 A.I.R. that replaces Carnival Night with a level that is an homage to Streets of Rage. This isn't just skin deep, it includes SOR enemies & even a SOR subboss. This mod is still in development but so far I love what I see

(I did end up finding videos of people getting that last hit on the second-to-last zone's subboss without superpowers; looks like you can just barely do it though.)

- throwing in "Subboss Theme" from the game soundtrack in the final fight scene, and ending on the plumtree song was perfect, no notes

I just killed a subboss in Diablo on Nightmare then disconnected now all that progress is lost.

Megaman 7 só n é o meu favorito pq tem três dos piores chefes da serie. Odeio o vampiro, odeio o chefe final e odeio o homem carro lá.
Tirando isso, é um dos megamans com as melhores fases e melhores designs! Tbm adoro os poderes e os chefes gigantes (e finalmente megaman acertou em subboss!).

Getting old is feeling nostalgic for a game from 1990, calling up an emulator to play through it, hitting a wall on an early subboss, and realizing that you beat him back in the day WITHOUT SAVESTATE ABUSE and that would require divine intervention now

on stage 5 of dmc1 and as of stage four each boss / subboss is taking a good little bit of work, and only now am I starting to get the resource economy (pretty sure each time you buy a revive or heal in the shop it gets more expensive?) so i've at least tentatively restarted with a second file?
