can't believe it took almost a week of having the new hideout in Deadlock before I went looking for places for characters to bang it out

(6-10 locations, with various furniture etc. for sublocations/props, depending on the characters' attitudes toward silly things like privacy & comfort)

It is likely going to be a long-term project. Currently with 21 main locations, each location having its own random tables, personages, factions, rumors, and sublocations.

I need to reread Milan Kundera and Italo Calvino to get all the inspiration right.

So yes, you can absolutely, it can result in a connective tissue disorder and patients will say I was never hypermobile I never had a connected tissue issue and um yet they had this exposure and now everything is “loosey goosey” and they get they have dislocations and sublocations where (10/12)

Dynamic shelving has turned some of my sections (especially the ones I've developed for our reluctant readers) into our most popular sublocations. If it helps at all, you've made a difference in our library!

update:
locations are more of a thing now, sublocations have been added, a lot of code has been moved around

This is the most generic, unusable and even unprovable statistic without sublocations listed.

I wanted this to make full use out of being a set of fully authored sublocations and not just generators that operate with the same theme. There is information found in some rooms that should change how you read other rooms, unlike how the main book is written.

It'd be really nice if Google Calendar had, as alternatives to the global street-based location field for events, a set of easily-configured alternatives that use a json file or something to specify alternative sublocations.

1/ What desification I see is forced by the economy: Gen Y/Z are being excluded from home ownership. They likely prefer urban living, but they're also aware of the rent trap. But less NYC, more parts of SoCal where nearly every standalone home has logical sublocations.

Improv tip: Get hyper-specific with locations. Every generic place has many sublocations with specific details to inspire...

Shopping mall » Security office
Hospital » X-ray department
Office » Mail sorting station

Swordhaven: Iron Conspiracy Free Story Expansion Coming in May
Swordhaven: Iron Conspiracy Free Story Expansion Coming in May
Developer Atom Team announced that it will be releasing a free story expansion for fantasy cRPG Swordhaven: Iron Conspiracy. The expansion, titled The Cursed City, will release on PC on May 7, 2026. It will feature a new quest from Lady Korynne, which leads players into a hypogean city of the ancients, filled with loot and horrific beasts. Players will explore a large new dungeon and multiple sublocations, and will able to find powerful new items, legendary weapons, and some new magic spells. The update will also provide general bug fixes, new characters, new secrets, new quests, and additional quality-of-life improvements. Swordhaven: Iron Conspiracy initially released in Early Access on Steam in December 2024 before fully launching a year later. The game puts players in the role of a lone adventurer who sets out to explore the land of Nova Drakonia. During this journey, a dying man entrusts an artifact to the protagonist, which triggers a series of events leading to the discovery of a vast conspiracy. The game draws inspiration from titles like Baldur’s Gate and Icewind Dale and lets players switch between turn-based or real-time-with-pause modes, controlling up to five party members. The developer is also planning on releasing the game for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2.   The post Swordhaven: Iron Conspiracy Free Story Expansion Coming in May appeared first on RPGamer.

They went all out with missions and sublocations here. Haven City was big in 2, it's slightly smaller here but to compensate there's new areas and the sewers are totally different and way bigger than in 2, ditto for Haven Forest which looks GORGEOUS with its Autumn vibe. The music is amazing too!
