MuslimSky: One of our certified halal cheeses is not safe at the moment. Please don’t have uncooked Tillamook for a while. Cheese grits for suhur or Mac and cheese for Iftar should be fine.
Just a note: for cheddars, Costco does have you covered, just NOT THE TILLAMOOK. For sharp, look for the Kirkland Coastal English White Cheddar (it’s a crystally cheddar, too!) and the plain Kirkland sharp; the Kirkland mild/medium and/or Colby Jack are also all pasteurized.
Study finds H5N1 is still viable in unpasteurized cheeses aged for the FDA-required 60+ days. IMPORTANT: multiple PDO cheeses imported from the EU *must* be made with unpasteurized milk because the PDO definition of that product requires it to be.

my understanding is that the timing of suhur and iftar is governed by the sun where you are and thus unaffected by DST
