As an overwriter, I constantly write entire scenes and chapters I later have to edit out. Yes, this meme actually describes something from my first draft. I liked writing it too, but you gotta kill your darlings.

Beta reader and Critique partner feedback is super important to crafting a good story, but be careful. Look for trends, don't change everything based on one person's opinion.

Have you ever received questionable feedback? Tell me about it in the comments!

More character art incoming!
Here's HWE, looking like a smoke show, I must say.
This portrait was done by Dina, who goes by r4nc1dd_ on DeviantArt, Reddit, ArtStation, and most of the other major platforms.

The content I put out on social media is mostly memes right now. But if you're wondering if I'm a bot, here's me with my writing assistant.
Her name is Sonia, and she's upset the MC of my book is not a cat.

Character Tropes: The Load - This trope is a character that weighs down your protagonist(s) and contributes little to the plot. They pop up often in TV and films, but you want to avoid them in writing. They can derail your story.

I get into that zen zone, and that's it. I need to write until I'm done.

Getting that momentum is great, but don't kill yourself trying to get your work finished either.

You can't write anything if you're dead.

Omg y'all, look at this art a reader (la.thursday on insta) made based on Cheap Suit Plot! I hope H.G. Wetherbee has good insurance...

I'm incredibly close to having at least a first draft done of all five books in the Chloe series. Like, literally four chapters away.
But I really wanna write a cozy mystery about a seaside town with beasties and dark secrets.

WIP of Giuseppe "Crank" Gallo, one of the lead characters of The Case of the Cheap Suit Plot, due out in 2024. Yes, I used a photo of Adrien Brody as the basis for this image. Red Flags and Green flags in comments
