blood elves when Xal’atath corrupted the sunwell

I'm dumb. We see her use it in the Retaking of Lordaeron and she is at the Sunwell as @khonochronos.bsky.social stated.

I completely forgot about that.

Then there are these guys far away from shamanism, don't forget to permit Elves access to a steady stream of higher-power magical corruption for those pipelines!

I do believe we see Calia use the light in the Retaking of Lordaeron from the plague and it's very integral to fighting off the plague that surrounds the capital.

She's also seen at the literal Sunwell too.

I’ve fleshed her out to be a wildgod of sorts for Eversong, who they thought fell to Arthas until the Sunwell went wild with the lightbloom and the forest woke her back up to help stabilize everything.

I have a unique design for her in mind I still need to draw. The Dream effect is,,,meh to me 🤣

What would have been cool is if we thought the lightbloom replaced it, but after the Sunwell gets corrupted all the lightbloom dies and the scar is still there underneath.

You could probably link that back to a greater point about the sunwell/light too.

And I am just killing all this stuff and thinking, "Damn, I really just do not care for anyone involved in this story right now." Like I paid more attention to Velen's mana pool not budging during the Sunwell artifact redistrubution quest than anything that came before or after.

Also RIP “ah the sunwell blew up darn better use the evil primordial magic from the dawn of time to get a little yummy treat for my painful addiction” as like, a basis for a character. This just can’t exist as a new kind of guy outside of TBC launch.

Kalec's ace-status is unclear and frankly irrelevant because he respects Jaina. I've not decided if it's funnier if he fucked the Sunwell or not yet

- They need reading glasses but have an eagle sight for faraway things

- Their eyes are golden from their youth, due to participating in the Sunwell Choir and being close to priests and other light users

- When their eyes catch the moonlight, the glow becomes silver

If they wanted it to be interesting, because its Light infused that means it can flip to void.

That should have happened when the sunwell became the darkwell.

Happy Halloween! Porphyria isn't celebrating this year but if she did, she'd make fun of the fact she basically died during the siege on the Sunwell and was brought back to life.

Well, now there’s a plot hole. If the Lightbloom was caused by the Sunwell, why didn’t it turn into a Darkbloom when it became the Darkwell?

Makes you wonder why they even bothered w/ the statue if they weren't even gunna show up. They had every reason to.

-World was under threat through the Sunwell
-Velen was there
-Something, something, "the light"
October 26, 2026 at 4:25 PM
It's worth noting that the Lightbloom wasn't a new phenomena by the start of Midnight, what was new was it spreading rapidly and drawing up aggressive Lightfused creatures from Harandar. It wasn't even seen as a problem that needed solving prior it being supercharged by the empowered Sunwell.
