Watched @marvelist.co.uk break registration twice this week, because I deleted a database account that was being used as a trigger DEFINER.

Entirely my fault. Always test.

Annoyingly, both times I only found out because installs didn't convert to new users. 😣

Broke user registration this week. Twice.

First, I knocked out a database trigger. Then I broke user ID generation.

New users were hitting the sign-up flow, authenticating fine, then just... not being created in the database. No error, no warning. Just lost users.

Always test. ⚠️

For me, the most frustrating thing in a codebase is indirection. Reducers and interactors and whatnot are all cool in that they feel like they're creating structure, but they also add indirection, which is a tradeoff. #SwiftDev #SwiftUI

If anyone knows someone at Apple working on unit testing, can you ask them for a runtime warning that is fired when a unit test causes a task to be created that outlives it's test case?

It would prevent a lot of headaches for me.
