Some nice quality-of-life improvements are coming to ExploreSwiftUI over the next few hours. First up: more accurate, Xcode-inspired syntax highlighting for each element’s code.

SwiftUI is such a better dev experience. But performance still hasn’t caught up.

when i was making Whenish i made a little tool to toggle between premium and non-premium features

with the help of a little robot i ripped it out, softened some edges and made it a package for other iOS devs

October has been the most successful month yet for Explore SwiftUI, with the new iPhone Duo page playing a big role in that.
It's great to see that even in the age of AI, developers still appreciate resources like this.

Sean Heber:

"I sped up the Tapestry timeline by over 350% by getting rid of SwiftUI. Increasingly of the opinion that SwiftUI was a huge mistake."

If I had been in charge at Apple, I would’ve done a streamlined Obj-C and unified all platforms around UIKit. It’s such a mess of different APIs now.

Unpopular opinion but I kinda miss AutoLayout. It’s wild that SwiftUI doesn’t have a great way to set sizes relative to sibling views (or views in other parts of the hierarchy)
