TIL some tricks that make taildrop *much* more ergonomic:
1. can grant a user account permission to operate tailscale with `--operator`
2. `tailscale file get --loop` will save files to disk automatically, do that in a user systemd service
zero-friction "send photo from phone to laptop" on Linux!

this is more my vibe, though I’ve been using tailscale’s taildrop more and more.
i usually use copyparty rather than raw ftp, which is extremely fast and has a nice web interface

Cool Linux tip for iPhone/Apple users: Tailscale (which is free for personal use) has a beta feature called 'Taildrop' that makes it super easy to pass files between your devices.
I just sent a photo from my phone to Linux laptop, then sent a PDF from the laptop back to the phone, all super easy.
