The 54-mile-long Talimena Scenic Drive passes over the Ouachita mountains and winds through the Ouachita national forest in southeast Oklahoma. While beautiful any time of the year, it comes alive in the fall with vibrant foliage. This video showcases some of my favorite views on Nov 6. #Oklahoma

Everybody should drive the Talimena National Scenic Byway in the Ouachita Mountains at least once in their lifetime. I did it on a bicycle, but those hills are brutal.

Surprisingly I have cell service in the middle of nowhere. I saw a truck driving from 35 yards when I had to cross the Talimena Scenic Drive sometime this morning. Nothing since, no animals. Hear occasional plane.

This trail follows the Talimena Scenic Drive and then does another 175 miles connecting National Forest to State Parks to near Hot Springs Arkansas. I might get a 1/4 of it done. They say the part I just did is the hardest.

Ouachita Trail. It follows Talimena drive and then into Arkansas. I'm doing a bit of it here and there when I have time.

We just found out Talimena drive is closed so we're heading toward Ozark Arkansas, maybe Russellville.

Talimena Scenic Drive is in the southeast part of Oklahoma. It's a popular drive when the trees are changing in the fall and a wonderful ride on the bikes no matter what time of the year. I took this Pic during late spring.
