The problem is that while billionaire techdorks are moving there, nobody else can afford it. They can't afford the property insurance and other costs keep shooting upwards.

I think this is more likely: they're just things, and therefore neutral and only interesting insomuch as they affect the steady production of widgets at the widget factory. Nazis have a null value for many techdorks until they get a trouble ticket assigned to them. Morality is not calculated.
