TechnoFascism has lost and they need to be prosecuted
And so we begin our election coverage with Elon's first loss.

Elon gave the max individual amount of $6,600 to MiKKKe Collins' campaign. He didn't set any money on fire in this race via Super PACs (that we know of), but we love to watch piles of his money burn no matter how small... Stay tuned!

The US pro-democracy movement drew blood this week, but technofascism isn’t dead yet. Here’s how to bury it:

⚖️ Accountability
♻️ Reform
🌱 Renewal
Nathalie Maréchal writes that Tuesday’s US midterm election results were a rebuke of Trump and a rejection of the tech oligarchy — and that the harder work of accountability, reform and renewal starts now.

The objections have consistently been:

1. not everyone can refuse, so therefore we should not talk about or advocate for refusal of technofascism at all

2. I am getting something wrong about the history of socialist/communist/critical thought

We interrupt our regularly-scheduled programming to bring you another MASSIVE lost for technofascism.

Leading the Future—the AI super PAC led by Marc Andreessen, Joe Lonsdale and Greg Brockman—spent at least $4,801,981 backing Darline Graham.

I only hope that Schumer and Jeffries don’t interpret this as an invitation to “reach across the aisle” but as an absolute mandate to demand accountability and dismantle unjust systems. ICE is not inevitable. Technofascism is not inevitable. Fight back.

❌🤖🤑 When technofascism is buried, entrepreneurs will finally have a chance to build new businesses whose success doesn’t rely on commodifying their users’ attention, monetizing their data, exploiting workers, enshittifying their own products, and degrading the natural environment.

I’m going to take a break from all my reading about 21st century fascism and technofascism, and catch up on writers like Paulo Freire, Frantz Fanon, and bell hooks. Who else should I be reading?

2027 AD. All forms of sex are now outlawed. Every consumer good is available as a subscription service only. Global technofascism reigns.

Disappointing. If you give AI an inch in the creative process, AI takes a mile from your creative credibility. To defer a stage as labor-intensive and crucial as inbetweens to AI is to sacrifice your integrity, your capability, and your reputation as fuel for a collapsing pyre of technofascism

When a new Democratic majority takes power in both houses of Congress in January, will lawmakers confront concentrated corporate power and technofascism, asks Courtney C. Radsch, or simply oversee their continued expansion?

I'd be pissed about the audacity of it were it not for how much it highlights just how explicitly the AI shit is technofascism.
