Exactly this. The machine learning used in the hard sciences is an extremely useful tool. The "GenAI" being sold to the public to replace art, writing, music etc is the most vile - I would even go so far as to say evil - techshit I have seen in my lifetime.

I have no problem with AI being used in medical research, etc. This is what AI should, IMHO, be used for.
