I am so glad to be playing Brahm’s 1st Symphony right now. Since the US elections I’ve been listening to a lot of Brahms (especially the sextets) and the thought that all this beauty survived incredibly dark times comforts me. Yes, there are dark times ahead. And much beauty will still live on.

I am so glad to be playing Brahm’s 1st Symphony right now. Since the US elections I’ve been listening to a lot of Brahms (especially the sextets) and the thought that all this beauty survived incredibly dark times comforts me. Yes, there are dark times ahead. And much beauty will still live on.
