🧮 LREC 2026 proceedings are out, and I just counted the annotation tool citations.

💡 INCEpTION came out on top with 39 citations and 28 of those actually using it!

New integrated curation mode: traditionally, curation used a split-view that displayed the curated document and the annotations from the annotators separately. The new integrated curation mode uses a single view which simultaneously displays curated data and the data from the annotators. A score helps the curator to see immediately which are the most-chosen labels be the annotators. The traditional split curation view is also still available.

I had such a great teaching experience in my Introduction to Literature classes @tuda.bsky.social. Thanks to the blended learning approach, students explored the software before the synchronous session and were therefore more engaged and asked more questions than in traditional CATMA workshops.

💡INCEpTION 34.5 fixes some bugs e.g. to workload management and annotation of HTML documents. Also, arcs without a label value can better be distinguished as they now show the feature name as the label instead of the layer name.
