For the last 122 days, Puerto Rico has been enduring an historic water crisis compounded by broken infrastructure and an island-wide drought.

The idea that Trump is especially triggered by women reporters isn’t just vibes—it’s data.⁠⁠Last Friday, the president stormed out of an interview with Meet the Press after Kristen Welker, the first Black journalist to host the program, asked direct questions about his false claims of voter fraud.⁠⁠That felt familiar to @TheMeteor’s @ginaskatingslowly, so she did the math. Her (non-exhaustive) review of the best-known insults Trump has slung toward journalists since he launched his first presidential campaign revealed at least 30 reported instances. (The timeline here includes only attacks made while Trump was in office, and to women's faces—not on social media or when they weren't in the room.)⁠⁠Women make up less than half of political reporters, but they made up two-thirds of Trump’s targets. Only 5 percent of government and politics reporters are Black, but 36 percent of his insults were directed at Black women. ⁠⁠This isn’t normal.
