As I watched this crate of art that was retaken from the Nazis, it occurred to me, this is happening now, currently, and at a rate the Nazis couldn't even have imagined, much less effected. It's no less dire now. Think about it... I'm right... This is what LLMs are doing every day. But they're also making pornography out of your children, too, and poisoning the water we drink and air we breathe, etc.

Just proves you can’t listen to reviews. After 11 years, finally watched #TheMonumentsMen directed & starring #GeorgeClooney. It was excellent! Same with #Leatherheads a few years ago, starring #JohnKrasinski and also directed by Clooney. Mixed reviews, but I enjoyed them both immensely. #filmsky

What I am finding charming & relatable (& worthwhile) on this watch is the idea that artists & creatives have to get involved in bloody conflict, which they often feel is beneath them.

Any story that teaches us to have zero tolerance for Nazi/fascist bullshit, and in fact, to kill them and mock them as we do so, is a brilliant film in this economy.

LLMs are gutting every bit of art and discourse that is available to them on the internet, which btw, is most things that have been created in the last 40 years, at this point. This is kind of a clever way to handle the subtitles/foreign language thing.

There's a rich tradition of having to solve this issue, Hunt for Red October being one example, and the 'bad French' gambit works for me.
