I would love to see Chromium split apart from Google.
A warning message during a chromium build: "WARNING: Support for linking against a C++ standard library other than the one in-tree (buildtools/third_party/libc++) is deprecated and support for this will end. We plan to remove this option in M138."

this used to be in chromiums source code but was removed back in 2022, its now back in, jxl might actually have a chance now to become a new standard format for websites due to how widely used chromium is and thats very exciting

このところ言っているのは、多くのオープンソース・プロジェクトは対話と外部貢献を拒否するようになり、ユーザーは、依存ライブラリの fork を手元に持って (いわゆる third_party/ ディレクトリ) それと自分のアプリケーション・コードを一緒に AI にメンテさせるようになるんじゃないですか、です

C/C++ のプロジェクトとかだと、コードベースに third_party/ 掘ってその下に他所のライブラリの fork と独自 patch 置いて、みたいなのを今でもしばしば見かけるんだよなー (というのを現職に来て思い出した)
