A lovely friend of mine has a room available in Sandyford/Ticknock from December. €1000/month + utilities, double bedroom with ensuite, free parking. Not the most accessible spot for public transport though...25 minutes walk to the Luas and infrequent buses.

Today marks 100 years since the murder of Lizzie O'Neill, also known as Honour Bright. Lizzie was a sex worker who was killed and a doctor and a Garda were acquitted of her murder. Her case put women back in their place during a burgeoning liberation movement.

The Hellfire car park should open at 6.00 in summer; early risers deserve sunrise on the trails, just like at Ticknock, which opens at 6.00 and shuts at 22.00.

Yesterday we were out in Ticknock Forest, IE-0116 for our Easter Monday POTA activation.
Great to get EI0TOG on the air, make plenty of contacts, and enjoy a good day out in the Mountains.
Thanks to Declan EI9HQ, Paraic EI2LH, Tomasz EI3106 & Jeffrey EI7IRB for taking part.

The missing piece now is government funding. Improved 7 day public transport access to Tibradden, Ticknock, Glencullen & all the parts of our beautiful mountains now only accessible by car for most people.

I hope our TDs can start to see how important this is and do something about the funding.

FF Brian Cowen endorsed all that development on flood plains? Massive developments crawling up Dublin hills at TicKnock and Kiltiernan..where did they think the water was going to go? #speirliath
