WIP to cap off the funded timeblock - an oft-forgotten elder sibling

I don't daily timeblock. I weekly/monthly timeblock. The autism loves that I have a schedule while my ADHD loves the deadlines.

One bummer about Gatsby is that Fitzgerald called out the emptiness of bro conman culture and we definitely didn’t learn. Jim definitely would have been into crypto. Even has the Marky Mark timeblock schedule

3. OK, here is the thing that I suggest you as an ADHDer do when you timeblock, the thing that REALLY makes it work for me and the thing I don't think I've ever seen someone talk about.

Timeblock in "freeform time" into your schedule every day.

Every.

Day.

Because a lot of places like a potential job you applied to or a doctors office insist on calling but do not tell you the number they'll use and you're lucky if they give you a timeblock? We are stuck between a rock and a hard place here.

1. *airgap* your timeblock. You don't need to squeeze them right together one block after another. The first time I bounced off this because I had a day or two where everything fit in my blocks and then I was wrong on one estimate and it felt like the apocalypse.

Space them out.

Ok ADHD/ASD/Depression answers only.

How do you… timeblock and then stick to the tasks you've decided for those blocks.

RN I follow broad/general "work shifts" and breaks in case *what* I want to work on changes.

Is it better to be more specific in timeblocking? And if so… how to commit.

For instance, I can and do timeblock the kind of tidying where I know what needs to be done and how, and all I have to do is do the thing. But if I have to think about it, then no.

It was only not shown to make the episode fit in its timeblock.

Trying out Day-Theming so no task category gets neglected. I can't timeblock down to the minute, but I can do that at least.

I personally list out all the component parts I need to do, then label columns Made (created), Laid (set out or programmed), Played (tested for improvements and to find kinks)

I also timeblock, which I have found incredibly productive. #gamedev

Another way of wording my dilemma:

If I had Timeblocked: "Draw [Thing A]"
But that time arrives and I feel like I'd rather *Write* for [Thing B], if I give into that feeling, and Write for [Thing B], when the timeblock said "Draw [Thing A]", is that a moral failing on my part lol

Just... an amazing piece. Timeblock yourself an hour and change for it.

I effing HATE my phone. People 10-15 years younger than me are like- I would die if I didn't have my phone, how would I do my banking? Shopping? Travel? Etc..

And I am like... that lifestyle sounds miserable. Timeblock that shit to the corners of your life on the laptop on your desk and go outside.

Day 8/100

Had to timeblock myself today and move onto other things because I was struggling to render my image assets into my firebase hosted website. I tried looking at the firebase and vite docs, but couldn't find an answer. Hoping to find one when I come back to tackling this.

Also, to be blunt, even split between 4 people it wound up pretty damn expensive (thanks in part to 6USD per-gallon gas). So, advance commission orders are open - can't take them immediately due to an upcoming timeblock but can reserve them for when that's done.
