Yeah so it uses TinyUSB for appearing as a 32GB SD card that pops up upon connecting it to the computer. That engages its USB-MODE system that lets you drop a ROM file on it and it will automatically program the ROM onto the main flash chip (that the SNES reads), while QSPI flash holds the firmware.

Designated Initializers in C | STM32 Short #14

While digging into TinyUSB descriptors, I came across an unusual syntax that turns out to be one of the most useful features in modern C: Designated Initializers (introduced in C99).

Ooh, thanks for this - I’m wrestling with a RP2040 TinyUSB issue at the moment
August 25, 2026 at 9:03 PM
Spent a couple of days chasing a bug I'd assumed was in #PicoMZ but seems to be an issue with v2.3.0 of the #RaspberryPi Pico SDK. Reverting to SDK 2.2.0 makes my problem disappear. Something flaky in busy_wait_us() on the rp2040 platform? There's also a chance it could be hiding in TinyUSB. (1/3)
August 25, 2026 at 8:38 PM
I'm really not sure where the issue is. I guess it could even be some kind of weird interaction between the busy_wait code in the sdk and TinyUSB. It's very obvious the problem isn't in 2.2.0 as I can repeat my issue at will in my emulator with 2.3.0 linked in.

I still despise the very concept of vibe coding, but I have the daunting feeling that I'll eventually have to start looking into LLMs like perplexity if i want to have a better understanding of libraries like BTStack or TinyUSB, as actual docs for them tend to lack severely

Here I wrote an article about TinyUSB usage with Raspberry Pi Pico as the second of a series.

With TinyUSB you can make almost any USB device. As a beginner guide, here I made a CDC calculator. Hope someone will read it and find interesting

It eems no macros for iSerial and iManufacturer, so I should make some patches even though I choose micropython library.

Anyway, I should prefer more "pythonic" way of coding. This is the initial project porting from C++ implementation with tinyUSB.

Thank you for noting!

Adafruit TinyUSB Libraryなにもわからない
前にESP-IDF + EspressifのTinyUSBでUSB MIDIは出来たからそっちでやったほうがいいのかもしれない
でもPlatformIO+Arduino環境で使えるのかが分からん

I reckon a raspberry Pico could be persuaded to do that with a bit of tinkering with tinyUSB

We can do that now because TinyUSB has support for USB CDC Serial chips (github.com/adafruit/Ada...) like the FT232, CP210x, and WCH9102! We upload the stub and test firmware, then listen on the CDC for the self-test output. It works really fast and is much easier to manage
