Well, it's time I do something crazy. Here we are, friends. It's time to get serious.

So I realized I kind of vanished from this app for a little while. Life has been eating at me for a bit. But I'm back and have hit the hard editing stage.

Save me.

Two posts in a day? Yes!

Why? Because I'm making fun of myself for my first draft not having a single town name in it anywhere. Where are these people? Nobody knows!

I'm fixing that.

Today, on random writing quotes:
"No one would expect to see a small, almost comically goth man walking around in the woods alone in the middle of the day. Or for said small, comically goth man to be dangerous."

Welp, tonight's been a productive night. Guess this is what I get for driving myself insane with book work past 10 PM.

The slow agony of editing is continuing. This Monday's update: I'm about 200 pages out of ~820.

700 pages down and about 100 to go. The other platform I'm on is blowing up, only because I'm a menace and posting about the maps over there.

Editing update: through line edits in 41/50 chapters. Currently the art is giving me a headache, but oh well. I'll get there with time.

Godsworn comes out in a year and I am ready.

I'll be honest: I burned out real hard this fall, between my wife's surgery, not being able to finish Yule Be Sorry in time to publish this year, and just the world at large, so getting any words feels great. I missed these guys. 336 words so far, and it's a slow day at work... 🤞🏼

“How was it? You were pretty quiet all day on text." "Weird not to have me nagging you every hour?" Cal teased, and his dad grinned. "A little bit." "Don't worry, I'm sure you'll hear from me more as I settle in." He let out a big sigh as they crossed the parking lot, his breath clouding in front of him. "I don't know. I don't think I've quite processed it yet. But the boss is kind of a jerk." "Grumpy old fella?" They crossed to their respective sides, and Cal opened the shiny red door. He must have gotten it washed again. Any time his dad ran errands without a bed full of cabinetry or lumber, they were guaranteed to go through the car wash. Cal shook his head, both at the way his dad babied his truck and in response to the question. "Grumpy young fella. He's probably only a few years older than me. But he doesn't seem to like his job much. Or maybe he just didn't like me." His dad's head turned sharply toward him as they pulled out onto the highway. "Misgendering?" "No, no. Nothing like that. Just didn't even give me a tour. Showed me my desk and expected me to fill in the blanks, I guess." Cal swallowed and looked out the window. "I'm making it sound worse than it was. How was your day? You get the Kramers' kitchen installed?" Callum Foster Turns Up the Heat A vector graphics illustrated type cover for Callum Foster Turns Up the Heat, featuring two dark-haired men in an office setting. The one at the desk has pink paint on his brown jacket and glasses. It's written by me, London Price. It's an M/M Rom Com.
