Had a decent New Year's day. Ate too much tonkatsu, or I should say, tofukatsu. (There was both, and the tofu version was surprisingly better IMO.) Had a fun time, but my social battery is now low enough that I'm liable to bite anyone who wants me to divert from my routine for the rest of the week.😅

Heute gab es mal wieder was von der Bento Box. Ich liebe dieses Tofukatsu mit Udon und Weißkohl 🥰 Dazu für uns beide Edamame und Veggi-Sushi. #food

Tofukatsu is pretty great for the same reason: freeze xfirm and thaw it and slice it thin, dredge it in cornstarch and egg and panko and quick-fry it in oil; the garlic is in the sauce (though sometimes I get fancy and marinate the tofu beforehand and/or season the cornstarch).
