The overall idea is really based on two games; Tradewars 2000 and Stardew, but only sort of. I thought it might be neat to be the supplier in a space trader. Then, I thought about factories and cities, but I didn't want it to get that big because I don't know that I could handle it. So, farming.

LORD was my mainstay, with TradeWars 2002, Usurper and MajorMUD too. Some were daily-turn games; others were persistent worlds. Hackers communicating through BBSes while playing doors is a neat way to bring that era into your game.
