it makes me so sad how there are so few trans (or openly trans) artists in fan spaces now. u can tell that trans fans & fan artists have been totally pushed out in recent years. transphobia is so rampant everywhere i look when i try to look for fanart now

I don't know the Edinburgh West local party, but generally the "GC" folk do not get very far in the #LibDems as their views are not in line with most LD members.
e.g. many GCs tried to get elected to Exec of (pro equality) official LD women's group @libdemwomen.bsky.social but failed.

there's a specific type of person who understandably gets annoyed at transmisogynistic depictions in art, even in pornographic content, but for some reason if you tell this person "okay, now imagine replacing the transphobia with the downplaying of incest and rape" it's "censoring queer expression"

Yuri on Ice did this in a way I like where there isn't homophobia. (Doesn't say anything about transphobia but eh) So the issue isn't two male figure skaters hooking up, it's more of a scandal of a top and lower ranked skater hooking up (nepotism basically)
