There’s some small gaps (like one around Eglinton in the Don Valley that the TRCA is planning how to fill).
Honestly, I think a strategic retreat regarding the Bloor West bikelanes would have probably made sense. But the time for that has past (I can’t see any benefit to compromise given province).

Salmon Run returns to Toronto Waterways
It's an annual reality in our streams and creeks across the region, and this year the TRCA hosted an event to help teach families about where salmon fit in our local ecosystems. David Zura explains.

Finally got to my destination, which I entered like a car on a driveway; the actual main entrance faces... nothing. Gorgeous building, worth the trip, but my mother was right.

The federal government should work with the TRCA and Toronto to takeover the existing OSC as a National Science Museum.

Random thought:
The province owns the buildings, but the land is owned by the city and the TRCA. What are the possibilities of the city buying the buildings, repairing them, and then opening a 'Toronto Science Centre' in them?

According to TRCA's gauge data, the Don River rose 4 metres above normal last night, peaking at 10PM.

Toronto & GTA, is your home sitting on a flood plain? Check the map & legend, esp if you’re thinking of moving.

Look at that huge neighbourhood at Jane & Wilson that includes Sheridan Mall that could be underwater after a storm like today’s! Good the city did recent upgrades there! #ONstorm #dlws

Fantastic!
I’ve been following the developments for a decade, as the TRCA has been wonderful at documenting & sharing background about the scale & impact of the project. Like Jim Tovey Lakeview in my area with daylighting Serson Creek, it sets a precedent for climate action around water, parkland.

There’s been lots of attention lately about the big changes on the central waterfront, but we also have exciting work ahead further east. City Planning is working with the TRCA on an enval. assessment for the Scarborough Bluffs West to improve how people access and enjoy the eastern waterfront.

TRCA real-world gauge says 38.61mm. But without an integrated view, I don't know if that was the core or side of the storm's streak.

I also think 10 microns may be an *unrealistic* precision to throw out there.

It IS surreal, even though I’ve been watching it from afar (following TRCA, seeing their drone videos and drawings) but also from my visit before it opened. I took a free Waterfront TO boat tour a few summers ago, traveled out to the airport and then east to see the new mouth of the Don. It’s huge!

Ontario will restore about 10 hectares of wetland at Heart Lake Conservation Park with TRCA, spending nearly $1.2 million to address erosion, invasives, and stormwater infrastructure.
